Day 33 - Fishing - Not Catching (and Cheating)

Up early (6am) for chartered striped bass fishing trip with Dr Gutentag on the party boat Mi Jo.

Free food samples today really added up and I took advantage of it - way too much:
Ham egg and cheese on a buttered roll
3 4-packs of chocolate mini donuts
2 cheese steaks
peanut butter wafer snack
hand full of sour patch kids
coffee
couple bottles of water

All of this was before 2pm and afterwards I did not feel much like eating anything else for the rest of the day.

We didn't have any luck fishing.  Not a bite.

I also took the neighbourhood kids out trolling in the river for a couple hours in the evening - not a bite.  I have been totally skunked lately.  Not a single bluefish or striper this year so far.  Unusual.  I'm also still thinking a lot about the Keys and how awesome all of those fish and lobsters taste.

  1. TIP! While fishing is a wonderful way to get away from life and relax, you shouldn't go alone. If there's an accident or your boat breaks, you don't want to be isolated with no one to help. Fishing Tips
